Industrial Design from Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in China. Upon graduation she
worked in both architecture and interior design for 10 years before shifting
full time to her fine art practice. Sine 1999 she is immigrate to Canada then sturdy
animation at Seneca College.
Jane currently works primarily in oil.
Her figurative work explores the ordinary moments in people’s lives. Using a variety of brushstrokes, bold colours,
and palette knife work, she makes the ordinary enticing. She is often found
sketching in pen and ink in local coffee shops, parks and other public areas
capturing these precious fleeting moments.
Jane’s landscape work stems from her fascination with Canada’s proximity
to vast wild areas. Having grown up in
China where wilderness was difficult to access, painting Ontario’s landscape is
a way to pay homage to her new home.
